Town Centre Mall was constructed in the late 1980's as Nassau's first enclosed two-level shopping center. It was built as a 305,000-square foot building on roughly 10.65 acres of land in the hub of New Providence at the junction of Baillou Hill Road and the East-West Highway. The design provides for a parking deck allowing for 146 parking spaces upstairs and 116 spaces under covered parking. In addition, there are 357 spaces in normal lower level parking on the ground level. The upper level consists of 94,600 sf with 3 entry ways; one at either end and in the center. The lower level consists of 101,500 features one main entry way in the center and one entry to the north and two to the south. There is a centre court opening with approximately 6,900 square feet. The building has 4 Caterpillar #3508 diesel powered generators (800KW each), domestic well water supply, main electrical supply metering with sub meters. Waste water is pumped via a lift station into the yellow elder sewer system.
